Adriana Mendez is a 3L (class of 2018) at UC Hastings College of the Law. She was raised in the Wenatchee Valley of Washington State. She is the oldest of six and was raised by a strong, wise Latina who did it on her own. Adriana, herself is a single parent to a nine-year-old boy and considers being a parent a strong advantage in life. She graduated magna cum laude from Gonzaga University with a B.A. double major in Political Science and Criminal Justice.

At UC Hastings, Adriana serves on the Interim Executive Committee of “Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Working Group”, the admissions committee for the 2021 class, is a student associate at the Startup Legal Garage clinic and in 2017 was a board member of UC Hastings La Raza Law Students Association. After law school, she wants to continue to work with startups in the Bay Area while focusing on startups with minority founders and minority-run businesses.
