Althea Omdahl is a first-generation immigrant and third-year law student at the University of California, Irvine School of Law (UCI Law). Althea emigrated from Jamaica in 2009 and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles where she graduated magna cum laude with double majors in Political Science and African-American Studies.
At UCI Law, Althea has served as Co-chair for the Black Law Student Association and fundraising committee member for the Public Interest Law Fund. She is currently serving as the 3L Honor Code Hearing Panel Representative. |
Althea has a profound interest in criminal justice, and she is a certified law student at the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office (LAX Location). She also volunteers as a Certified Law Clerk at the Orange County District Attorney’s office. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career in criminal prosecution.
As a first-generation immigrant and college student, Althea finds that her success depends upon the guidance she receives from mentors and role models. Ms. Omdahl looks forward to gaining mentorship and guidance from the Foundations’ members. After the bar, she wishes to be part of the great mission of the California ChangeLawyers and the John M. Langston Bar Foundation. |
