This January, Daniela Medina became the first law school graduate in her family. Having moved from Chile to California with her family at the age of 13, Daniela now seeks to use her legal education and experience to promote social justice and proper enforcement and execution of the law. She completed her undergraduate degree at San Diego State in 2013 studying Political Science. During law school, she discovered a passion for oral advocacy as part of California Western’s competitive appellate team.

She will rejoin the Attorney General’s Office in San Diego in the Appeals, Writs and Trials Division, where she was a law clerk last fall. While in law school, Daniela balanced parental responsibilities with her education and is the dedicated mother of two. She also won several awards including first place in the Legal Skills II Appellate Oral Argument Competition and the Dean’s Honor List. Daniela is committed to a career in government service where she can support her family and her community while working towards social justice.
