Henna graduated from the University of California, Berkeley. Her commitment to public interest law stems from her experiences as a Pakistani-Mexican- American woman, the daughter of immigrants, and a first-generation college and graduate school student. As an undergraduate student, Henna dedicated herself to helping the low-income residents of Berkeley with their housing issues through ASUC’s Renters’ Legal Assistance by informing them of their legal rights and options as a renter.

Then, as a law student at Chapman University, Dale E. Fowler School of Law, she continued her commitment to public interest work by interning with the Orange County Public Defender’s Office and the State Board of Equalization Tax Appeals Assistance Program by helping indigent clients. She hopes to one day be an attorney who fights for and represents those who are poor, who have been prejudiced against, and who have been defeated by the legal system. Most importantly, she hopes to serve them from a place of empathy.
