The daughter of Iranian immigrants, Kimeya is a first-generation law student whose own experience of instability in her home at an early age drove her passion for social justice- particularly for children and those unable to advocate for themselves. During her undergraduate studies at UCLA she worked with nonprofit organizations that helped educate and bring awareness of the hardships faced by those living in underprivileged societies, and also mentored and tutored disadvantaged youth, further fueling her desires to use her law degree for child advocacy work.

She completed her BA in Psychology from UCLA, and is pursuing her JD at the University of San Diego School of Law. She plans to use her law degree to advocate for children- particularly those in the adoption and foster care system, in order to ensure the safety of children experiencing abuse and neglect, and helping minors facing the juvenile and adult prison system.
