At the age of six, Kristen lost her father when he was murdered by two individuals, who then walked away unpunished. It was her father’s murder that inspired her to pursue a career as a criminal justice attorney. Four years after her father’s passing, Kristen lost her mother. Losing both her parents at such a young age, she was met with many struggles, all of which taught her a lot about herself. With the justice system having failed her, she has been deeply committed to criminal justice work. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a BA in Political Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and prior to her beginning law school, she interned at a criminal defense firm.

Her experience at a criminal defense firm had given her the insight to view a case from both points of view. As a prosecutor, she seeks to repair the legal system, in order to help those that are not given a chance by society.Specifically, she seeks to become a progressive prosecutor who will address to change the current legal system that is rampant with systematic racism and injustice. She hopes to look at each defendant’s individual story and find a suitable punishment, as she believes our common law system thrives upon individual stories.Kristen is pursuing her JD at UC Davis School of Law.
