Born in Los Angeles, CA and the granddaughter of Mexican immigrants, Michelle recognized her true voice at a UCLA spoken word event- igniting her passion to advocate fearlessly for platforms of free expression for all narratives. A second-generation feminist Latina, Michelle graduated with honors cum laude and received a BA in Political Science and Chicano/a Studies, where she witnessed the Eurocentric perspective in her political science courses and the male domination in her Chicano/a Studies courses.

In light of her experiences, Michelle is committed to offering the Latina narrative in the field of law, enhancing the potential for a complete vision of justice to be realized. She aims to provide that level of passionate insight and representation within higher learning institutions, while breaking down systemic barriers to the achievement of Latinxs nationally and internationally. She is currently pursuing her JD at Stanford Law School.
